221 connector — breakaway, aluminum, IP68, for civil and military aeronautics
• BREAKAWAY • IP68 SEALING • MIL-C-38999 / AIR 7304 COMPATIBLE
The 221 is BERNIER Connect’s quick-release connector for airborne applications. Designed for military and civil aircraft and helicopters, it provides all types of communication between onboard equipment and external connections — with fast, one-hand disconnection, reliable IP68 sealing, and compliance with MIL-C-38999 electrical specifications and AIR 7304 environmental requirements.
Fast disconnection and robust sealing for airborne communication systems
The 221’s defining feature is its quick-release mechanism: a traction-based disconnect, enabling fast and safe uncoupling in operational conditions — without tools, without rotation. Its 100% scoop-proof contact protection prevents damage during mating, even in low-visibility or gloved-hand conditions. Vibration resistance tested at 10g from 55 Hz to 2,000 Hz over 6 hours confirms its suitability for airborne platforms subject to sustained structural vibration.
